MBT Pathfinder sample preparator

The MBT Pathfinder® with Feeder option processes Petri dishes, selects suitable colonies using a camera, prepares the colony and matrix on the MALDI target plate, and optimizes the drying of the target plate before microbial identification with the MALDI instrument. To enhance results, the workflow also includes pipetting formic acid onto each sample spot. Consistently uniform sample processing optimizes microbial identification results and automates the daily repetitive manual work.

The device can accommodate up to 100 plates at a time. It features an integrated barcode reader and software compatible with Bruker’s MALDI workflow. The device is available in IVD, RUO, and GP versions, with or without the Feeder feature.
