Coris BioConcept rapid tests

Easy rapid tests for the detection of infections and antibiotic resistance

Coris BioConcept makes antigen tests for diagnosing respiratory or gastrointestinal infections and carbapenem and ß-lactam resistance identification from solid culture colonies or from blood culture tubes. There’s a special kit for preparing blood culture samples for testing.

The test method is based on nanoparticle technology. The gold colloid particles are coated with spesific antibodies providing high sensitivity and specificity.

Carbapenem resistance of Enterobacteriaceae can be identified using kits that detect a single or alternatively multiple antigen epitopes (OXA-48, OXA-163, KPC, NDM, VIM, IMP).

Colonies of Enterobacteriaceae can also be identified for ß-lactamases (ESBL) that degrade ß-lactams such as cephalosporins. Resistance can be identified with a test kit detecting multiple ß-lactamases epitopes representing various CTX-M groups (CTX-M-8-like, CTX-M-14-like, CTX-M-15-like).

For Acinetobacter species there’s a kit for carbapenem resistance testing as well as for ß-lactam resistance testing with simultaneous detection of carbapenemase epitopes and ß-lactamase NDM (OXA-23, OXA-40/58, NDM).
