Leica CM1950 DualEcoTec cryostat

Leica Biosystems’ CM1950 cryostat combines an efficient cooling system with reproducible section quality. The instrument’s new DualEcoTec cooling system rapidly cools the chamber and specimen while maintaining stable temperatures in both the cryochamber and the specimen.

The cryostat features a spacious cryochamber designed for the simultaneous handling of multiple specimens. The stable CE blade holder improves the reproducibility of section quality. The cryostat also operates at lower noise levels, produces less heat and consumes less power than previous models.

CM1950 is the only cryostat on the market that complies with the new EU refrigerant regulations. The refrigerant used in the instrument has a close-to-zero global warming potential.
