Bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing overnight

Accurate treatment of urinary tract infection in cats and dogs is now possible: the chromogenic Flexicult Vet plate recognises the bacterium and determines susceptibility for the next day, so the patient’s treatment can be started as quickly as possible.

A chromogenic culture plate stains the colonies of different bacteria in different colours. The most common causes of urinary tract infection can be easily identified using a colour chart.

The antibiotic sections of the plate determine the bacterial resistance to the following drugs: Ampicillin, Amoxicillin/clavulanate, Oxacillin (MRSP identification), Enrofloxacin, Trimetoprim/sulfamethoxazole.

Fast and easy to use

The sample is poured into the plate compartments and rocked so that it spreads evenly on the plate. The plate is then incubated overnight at 35–37 °C. The results will be available the following day.

Chromogenic Flexicult Vet urine culture plates will be delivered in the packages of three plates.

In the table below there are listed the last use dates (Use date) and the dates the plates will be delivered at the latest (Delivered). Possible changes and cancellations to the standing orders must be provided before the last change date (Changes).
