Two retorts for optimized protocols for each specimen type
Two different protocols can be run simultaneously in dual-retort tissue processor made by Leica Biosystems – e.g. large samples with an overnight protocol in one and biopsy protocol in the other. This enables programs optimized for different sample types and thus the best possible quality for all samples.
The capacity of the device is 200 cassettes/retort. Up to 400 samples can be processed simultaneously with an instrument no larger than a conventional tissue processor.
The integrated reader can be used to store information about each sample (sample numbers, cassette colors and quantities, etc.), basket ID, as well as user and reagent information. The data is easily obtained from the device in clear reports, enabling complete traceability.
Several different pre-validated programs are available. Xylene-free processing is also possible.
