HistoCore Spectra WS staining and coverslipping workstation
High-capacity staining and coverslipping workstation for H&E and special stains
Manufactured by Leica Biosystems, the HistoCore Spectra WS is an automated, continuous-loading, high-capacity staining and coverslipping workstation. It consists of the Spectra ST stainer and the Spectra CV coverslipper. Both instruments can also be used as standalone devices.
The easy-to-use interface and color-coded slide racks promote smooth workflow and reduce the risk of errors. The instruments monitor reagent and consumable usage using RFID technology.
Spectra ST
The Spectra ST is a high-capacity slide stainer for both H&E and special stains. It enables multiple staining protocols to be run simultaneously. Reagent usage can be easily optimized, as the instrument calculates the actual number of slides to be stained.
The Spectra ST stains over 300 H&E slides per hour. When combined with Leica Biosystems’ validated Spectra H&E staining kit, it ensures consistent staining results from slide to slide for up to 1600 slides. The instrument is also capable of staining macro slides.
Spectra CV
The Spectra CV is the only coverslipper on the market with two independent coverslipping lines. This allows for coverslipping up to 570 slides per hour. Thanks to the built-in forced air oven, slides are immediately ready for microscopy or scanning. Ready-to-use consumables make operation effortless. The slide baskets are compatible with the Leica GT 450 DX scanner.
